How this kink test works

  1. Answer at your own pace.

Explore 30 short statements. Choose what fits today, or skip anything you prefer not to answer.

  2. Notice your pattern.

See which of six independent themes stand out. Skipped questions stay missing, never counted as low scores.

  3. Keep the conversation open.

Read your summary, save a copy, or share it privately. Keep what feels useful, with room to disagree or change your mind.

How scoring works without turning you into a type.

Each of the six axes uses five questions. Four scored answers are needed before an axis receives a number, so a skipped question stays missing instead of quietly becoming a low score. The choices run from Not me to Very me. Unsure uses the arithmetic midpoint, but the report also shows how many Unsure answers you gave so that a middle number is not mistaken for certainty.

The 0–100 index summarizes your own responses; it is not a percentile, a probability, or a comparison with other people. The axes remain independent. Leadership does not subtract from Surrender, and Structure does not cancel Exploration. When every axis has enough answers, the map can highlight a leading pattern. Ties, close scores, and lower scores may produce an open-ended result instead. If too many answers are skipped, you can keep a partial map or return to the questions.

What stays private while you take the kink test.

The basic quiz needs no account. Your answers and calculated scores remain in the memory of this browser tab while you move around the site. They are not placed in the URL, and refreshing or closing the tab clears them. If you want a record, you decide whether to copy or save one; anything copied into another app is then subject to that app’s storage and privacy settings.

The optional AI guide is separate from scoring. It receives nothing unless you select axes, review a summary, confirm that you are an adult, and choose to generate a guide. You can ignore it and still read the complete result. Optional analytics also requires your choice and does not receive quiz answers. Privacy reduces unnecessary collection, but it does not make a result permission to share someone else’s information. Keep control of screenshots, copied notes, and the audience you choose.

Your kink test map, with room for nuance.

The kink test considers Leadership, Surrender, Sensation, Structure, Exploration and Connection. These axes describe different interests; they are not six competing types. Enjoying a leading role does not rule out enjoying guidance, and curiosity can sit alongside a preference for familiar routines.

The Attentive Connector

In these answers, emotional warmth and togetherness scored highest. A mutually agreed leading role, sensory detail and welcome possibilities and variations also scored high on the 0–100 scale. This is not a measure of empathy, relationship health, or anyone’s ability to give consent.

Your six-axis map
What your map means

Your result includes the available axis scores, plain-language explanations and a named pattern when all six axes have enough answers. If you skip too many questions on an axis, that part of the map stays incomplete. You can go back and fill it in, or keep a partial result.

The numbers summarize your responses. They do not rank you against other people, diagnose a condition or decide what you should try. Your own understanding matters more than a label.

Private by design.
Clear about the limits.

No account is needed. Answers and calculated results stay in the memory of this browser tab. The basic quiz does not send them to a server or place them in a link. An optional AI guide sends only a summary you select, and only after you confirm. Moving between pages here keeps your progress. Refreshing or closing the tab clears it.

If you choose to copy a note, it contains your summary and scores, not your raw answers. Copies, screenshots and anything you paste into another app can remain there after you leave. The hosting service also handles ordinary technical requests; private answers do not mean a website has no infrastructure logs.

Optional Google Analytics runs only after you allow it, and you can turn it off using the controls below. Separately, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views in aggregate, without cookies, and the site keeps cookieless daily totals of quiz starts and completions; neither receives your answers or results. Read about usage analytics.

Read the privacy explanation for age confirmation, browser storage, technical requests and copied notes.

Optional words,
if you want them.

After the report, you can generate a short AI reflection and conversation guide. It is optional, it does not replace the free map, and it sends only the axes you select.

There is no chat, no account, and no saved AI report. Read the AI conversation guide first, or keep using the kink test on its own.

Kink guides

Before you begin

Do I need experience to take this kink test?

No. You can take this kink test without prior experience. Answer about what sounds appealing today, choose Unsure, or skip a statement. Imagining something is not agreeing to do it, and you never need to justify a skipped answer.

Is this a scientific or diagnostic assessment?

No. The questions and scoring rules are editorial, without clinical validation or population norms. Treat the result as a prompt for reflection, not a permanent identity or professional advice. The guide to kink test results explains what the numbers mean.

Can I change an answer or stop partway through?

Yes. You can go back to earlier questions, skip, or stop. With a pointer, a first answer normally advances after a short pause; keyboard answers and revisions use Continue. The final question waits for you to choose See my results.

Does a result establish consent or compatibility?

No. A preference map cannot tell you what another person wants or agrees to. Discuss preferences and boundaries directly. Anyone can pause, decline or change their mind, regardless of a score or a shared interest.

Does KinkWeave use AI on my quiz answers?

Not by default. The quiz is scored in this tab. An optional conversation guide can send only the summary you select, after you confirm. You can read how that optional guide works first.

Take the kink test when you feel ready. You can pause, skip a question, or leave a result behind. There is no right pattern to aim for—just room to notice what feels like you.

Help us improve the experience?

Optional Google Analytics measures visits, progress, and save or share actions—not your answers or results. It can process technical information and session cookies; it is not anonymous. Privacy details
